Rockford High School freshman Holly Ensley
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) WZZM and Meijer are pleased to recognize Rockford High School freshman Holly Ensley as our Meijer Scholar Athlete of the Week for the week of December 26th.
Holly is a 4.0 student at Rockford with a love for reading. "I bring my Kindle a lot of places or a book. I have a book with me at all times. I've gotten away from tv. You get more detail and insight (from books)."
In addition to the books, Holly hits the ice regularly as a goalie in the Grand Rapids Amateur Hockey Association. She's in her first season playing ice hockey after growing up playing roller hockey since the fourth grade.
When she's not reading, studying or deflecting pucks, Holly sings in the choir at Algoma Baptist Church. WZZM and Meijer salute Holly for her hard work and dedication. Keep up the good work Holly!
