GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- During a political year, you'll see a number of ads, some of which make outlandish claims. You may have noticed one attacking Gov. Rick Snyder about the Ambassador Bridge.
WZZM 13 News did some fact checking regarding that ad.
The ad is sponsored the company that's currently in a legal dispute with the state. The man who owns that company is billionaire 'Matty' Moroun. He has one of the only privately-owned bridges in the country -- in this case, the one connecting Detroit to Windsor, Ontario.
The ad is true when it claims Gov. Snyder wants to build a second bridge. In October, a state Senate panel failed to approve a measure authorizing the new bridge.
