SPRING LAKE, Mich. (WZZM) -- A West Michigan restaurant targeted by teenagers is getting a lot of support from the community it serves.

Bob Chan, owner of Chan's Restaurant in Spring Lake, says about a year ago he began receiving harassing phone calls.

Two weeks ago, after one of those calls, Chan says someone egged his restaurant. A resident driving by saw it happening and called police.

Officers arrested two teenagers -- one 15 and one 16 -- and one of the boys admitted to making harassing calls.

Chan says since the arrests, the community has rallied around him and his business.

"People that come in to eat and some people just stop by to tell us they support us and they want us to be here," says Chan. "I feel fortune that I live in this community."

Chan's Restaurant has been in Spring Lake since 1972.

In 1979, WZZM 13 crews filmed a special for the Chinese New Year. Chan has a picture of the visit on the wall of his restaurant.
