GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- A 10-year-old is celebrating the anniversary of his open heart surgery by raising money for heart disease research.
Connor Wardrop is a fourth grader, at North Oak View Elementary in the Northview School District.
He and his classmates are raising money for 'Jump Rope for the Heart.'
Wardrop had open heart surgery at five days old for an malfunctioning artery.
He's asking friends and family to contribute to help children like himself.
