Will It Rain?
Wednesday was another warm, sunny day across West Michigan with temperatures around 80F to the mid 80s. Dewpoints climbed into the low to mid 50s.
Wednesday night will be mostly clear and milder with temperatures slipping into the mid 50s north, mid to upper 50s south, and upper 50s to around 60° along the lakeshore. Winds will be southeast at 6-12 mph inland increase to 7-14 mph along the lakeshore.
Thursday will become partly sunny during the afternoon while temperatures warm into the low to mid 80s. Dewpoints will continue to rise into the low 60s. Winds will be southeast at 6-12 mph inland and south at 7-14 mph along the lakeshore.
Thursday night, a cold front will sweep across Lower Michigan with a few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly from I-96 north between 9 PM and 5 AM. No severe weather is expected. Temperatures will be warm, in the low to mid 60s. Winds will shift from the south-southeast during the evening to the northwest after midnight at 5-10 mph inland and 6-12 mph along the lakeshore.
Friday will feature mostly sunny skies and lower temperatures and dewpoints. Highs will climb into the upper 70s to around 80° while dewpoints will drop into the mid 50s. Winds will be northwest at 8-16 mph.
Saturday through Labor Day on Monday will be sunny and warm with temperatures around 80° Saturday and warming into the low to mid 80s Sunday and Monday.
The 6-10 Day Outlook for Tuesday, September 2 through Saturday, September 6 calls for above average temperatures and below average precipitation. Average highs are around 75-76° with average precipitation of .74".
The 8-14 Day Outlook for Thursday, September 4 through Wednesday, September 10 calls for above average temperatures and near average precipitation. Average highs are around 74-75° with average precipitation of 1.05".
